About Canada
Long before any European settlers set foot on North America, the native peoples of Canada lived in small tribes in all corners of the country. The first European settlers came in around 1400. Much later, in 1760, the British came to Canada, with already about 55000-60000 French settlers in the Country. In 1841, the British and French colonies were united and formed Canada West and Canada East. In 1867 the Confederation was passes and this was the birth of modern Canada as a self-governing country. Canada is official a bilingual Country. There is the large West , English speaking and there is the East, where the province Quebec has French as its official language. Overall the percentage is 59% to 24% and the rest as other languages. Canada has reached over 32 million a population with each year growing.
